Professional Experience

Nelson G. Pichardo is an associate attorney who has been with Muro & Lampe since 2023. Previously, Mr. Pichardo worked for a firm outside of Chicago where he practiced criminal defense, employment law, and immigration law.

Mr. Pichardo served as judicial clerk for LaPorte County Judge William Boklund. After his judicial clerkship, he also served as a clerk for the Office of the LaPorte County Prosecuting Attorney. Mr. Pichardo also served as president of the LaPorte County Election Board from 2018-2022.

Education

Mr. Pichardo is a magna cum laude graduate of Southern Adventist University (B.A. History, Business Administration) and a graduate from Valparaiso University School of Law.

During his four years at Southern, Mr. Pichardo served as the President of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honors history society.

While at Valparaiso University School of Law, he served as the Justice of Judging on the Executive Board of the Valparaiso Law Moot Court Society.

Mr. Pichardo argued at the 23rd Annual Luther M. Swygert Memorial Moot Court Competition and was awarded Winning Team Honors.

Mr. Pichardo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is fluent in Spanish. In addition to California, he is admitted to practice in Indiana and the Northern District of Indiana.
